About this course
Cutting is the point of no return. Once the scissors go through the cloth there is no undoing it — so this course is about getting the paper right first, then cutting with confidence. Gaani takes you from a set of measurements to a full paper pattern, drafted the way tailors actually draft: front and back body block, checked and cleaned up, then transferred onto brown paper so you have a sturdy pattern you can reuse for every suit you make from now on. Then you cut the real thing. Planning the full suit, laying out the fabric so nothing runs short, cutting the kameez, drafting and cutting the salwar — panels, gores, belt and cuffs — and preparing the mohri and neckline ready for the machine. It's taught in Punjabi, the way a real tailor speaks, with English captions throughout.
