About this course
This is the build. You start with cut pieces and finish with a kameez you can wear. Gaani takes you through the whole assembly in the order a tailor actually works: attach the neckline, sew the darts that shape it to the body, join the shoulders, sew the fitting seam through bust, waist and hip, then set both sleeves. After that comes the part most people rush — the finishing. Folding the hem and slits, basting them, hand-hemming with tarpai, working the reinforced eye into the slit corners so they never tear, and sewing on the snap button. Then pressing it properly, which is what makes a home-made suit stop looking home-made. She films without cuts or edits, so when a seam goes slightly wrong you see her fix it in real time. It's taught in Punjabi, the way a real tailor speaks, with English captions throughout.
