About this course
Most people make one kameez and three salwars. This is the one you'll come back to.
The course is complete on its own: you draft the salwar pattern from your own measurements, cut the panels, gores, belt and cuffs, then stitch the whole thing. Making the belt that carries the drawstring. Forming the pleats at the waist — how many, how deep, and how to keep both sides even. Basting them in so a wrong pleat lifts out instead of ruining the waistband. Attaching the belt all the way round. Filling the cuffs with scrolling, on a straight machine or with your home machine's built-in zig-zag. Then the final inner seam, and the press that sets the crease so it hangs properly.
